Lost Kitties - Mighty Muggs - Transformers - Playskool Heroes
Lost Kitties Singles
A "Quick-Strike" item created by a lean team of designers, engineers, and marketers, Lost Kitties features a fun play pattern of digging through molding compound to find a collectible kitten and other plastic accessories. This package features a thermoformed tray with a clear plastic seal to hold the molding compound, and a gable top carton to keep with the theme of a milk container. The PDQ tray folds down during shipping for efficency, and is assembled on shelf to look like a refriderator.
Lost Kitties - 3 Pack
Re-purposing the dieline and contents from the single pack, a 3 pack was created for even more kitty fun! This 3 pack container has a handle, and has been printed with a wood texture to resemble wooden milk creates. It was also designed as an eComm bundle pack, with a nesting master carton for cube efficiency.
Mighty Muggs
Mighty Muggs offer a fun new twist on collectible vinyl figures. When the head is pressed, each Mighty Mugg cycles between 3 facial expressions. This injection molded case has a clear dome top, and a solid grey base, with 2 keylocks holding the figure in place. The domes can be stacked on top of one another due to the "Try-Me" hole lining up with a circled added under each base. The paper insert of each Mugg can be cleanly removed for a 360 degree viewing of the product.
Throne of the Primes Comic Con 2018
The major piece of packaging that was done for this project by AJ was the Wheel of Primes in the back of the package. This piece has a thermoformed gear system that allows the consumer to position the wheel to feature any Prime figure they would like. This locking mechanism was developed in SolidWorks and implemented for a reduced cost compared to an injection molded solution.
Super Hero Adventures Iron Man Headquarters
This large playset features a rotating Iron Man head which, when lifted, opens the playset to reveal the rest of the motor cycle ramp. Due to the large scale of this item, it was designed to be set on shelf either verticlaly has shown, or on its side. The graphics on the back panel of this box are actually a closed box style front panel, including all required warnings and feature call outs to give this item shelving flexibility.
Galactic Heroes 2-in-1 MILLENNIUM Falcon
In order to show the iconic shape of the Millennium Falcon, as well as the features of this playset, this item was packaged in a platform box, including a large angled front call-out location for an image showing the playset converting into vehicle form. The large handle on the front of the playset can be turned to reveal an image of Han Solo and an X-Wing. A call-out was added above this try-me feature to help guide consumers to turn the handle on shelf.
Chomp Squad Troopersaurus and Bobby Badge
Troopersaurus has a large try-me feature in this package which involves lifting his tail, which bends the figure forwards and opens his mouth to take a chomp out of the ice cream cart below. This presented a challenge, as there was not a lot of room left in the package to lay out the rest of the accessories. The die-cut in the corner of the package is meant to incorporate elements of the logo into the main silhouette of the package.
